As an integrative counsellor I combine counselling skills and mindfulness techniques. My approach is aimed at helping clients to increase their awareness of their thoughts, their bodies, their behaviour patterns, and how their environment affects them. This process can help to develop inner resources, allowing clients to view and approach their situation in a different way and achieve different results.
As a mindfulness practitioner my practice is rooted in the here and now; however we are often affected by events from our past. It is sometimes useful to explore the origin of these thoughts and emotions and with the aid of cognitive techniques and visualisations, we can find new ways of being. I run mindfulness/ meditation classes in the evenings for both beginners and more experienced meditators. Please contact me for more details.
My areas of experience are: Anger, Anxiety, Abuse, Addictions, Bereavement, Depression, Loneliness, Trauma, Sexual Abuse, Rape, Low self-confidence, Relationship problems, self- harming.
If you are uncertain whether or not I can help you, please send me an email or text and we can discuss it further.
